Virtual STEM Classes

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA is offering virtual STEM classes during the closing of our facilities due to the coronavirus.

These virtual classes are free for Y members and nonmembers.

Classes will be conducted via Zoom meeting. Meeting info will be sent to those who register.


STEM VEXcode Virtual Robotics with Chris Stone

VEXcode VR lets you code a virtual robot using a block based coding environment powered by Scratch Blocks. VEXcode VR is based on VEXcode, the same programming environment used for VEX 123, GO, IQ and V5 robots. We all know that robots make Computer Science (CS) come to life with real world applications.

INTRO TO CODING with Laura Jaurez

Students will create their own games, art, and digital stories that they can share - all while developing problem-solving, collaboration, persistence, and computational thinking skills.
