New Britain – Berlin YMCA

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA opens New Britain YMCA Child Care Academy at 111 Hart Street

The Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA is excited to announce the opening of the New Britain YMCA Child Care Academy at 111 Hart Street in New Britain. The Academy offers care for infant, toddler and preschool age children.

The YMCA purchased The Early Learning Center from Hartford Health Care Group and is now operating the center as the New Britain YMCA Child Care Academy.

The YMCA offers quality full-day and partial-day child care for infants through preschoolers, enabling parents and family members to go to work knowing their children are in safe, stimulating environments. The YMCA has extensive experience nurturing the development of children.

At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our child care programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. That makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

The New Britain-Berlin YMCA has served our community for 159 years. We formed an association with the Meriden YMCA which is the largest child care provider in Meriden serving over 850 children. Together our YMCAs have the in depth expertise and years of experience providing safe, nurturing child care in state licensed quality child care programs. In fact our new association CEO, John Benigni was a child care director at one time and has four children, so he knows about child care from the provider and the parent side.

As the Senior Program Director, Leisa Pasquariello is responsible for the New Britain Child Care Academy and Berlin YMCA Child Care Center’s infant, toddler and preschool programs and has worked in YMCA child care for many years.
